HERO OVERVIEW

Some heroes have the same primary class, however every class has a unique Tier 3 ability.  There are 12 heroes in total, with 8 unique primary classes.  This results in over 40 unique abilities and over 25 unique weapons.

Many of the classes have a different play style and different feel, so make sure you try them all to find the hero that best suits your play style.

Note: At some stage we will be adding links to each ability and weapon for more detailed information.




Raynor

"you don't mess with the bourbon cowboy"

Primary Class:  Marine

Marines are front line soldiers that use specialized weapons to take out their enemies.  You need to pay particular attention to your enemies and have the right weapon out at the right time to be most effective.

Raynor's Tier 3 special ability is a long range orbital bombardment that damages an area over a period of time.


Abilities:

  • Natural Resistance
  • Booster Injection
  • Yamato Blast
  • 21 Gun Salute

Weapons:

  • Rapid Fire Laser Rifle
  • Plasma Rifle
  • Photon Burst Rifle
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Tauren

"milked up and good to go!"

Primary Class:  Marine

Marines are front line soldiers that use specialized weapons to take out their enemies.  You need to pay particular attention to your enemies and have the right weapon out at the right time to be most effective.

Tauren's Tier 3 special ability is a close range AE War Stomp that does high damage and stuns enemies.

Abilities:

  • Natural Resistance
  • Booster Injection
  • Yamato Blast
  • War Stomp

Weapons:

  • Rapid Fire Laser Rifle
  • Plasma Rifle
  • Photon Burst Rifle
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Tychus

"if the enemy's in range... so are you"

Primary Class:  Heavy Gunner

Heavy Gunners can punch holes in a large amount of enemies before they even get close.  Most of the weapons are medium range with a very high rate of fire.

Tychus's Tier 3 special ability is a long range cone effect laser beam that cuts through enemies.


Abilities:

  • Suit Powered Lights
  • Go Down Fighting
  • Heavy Fire
  • Explosive Rounds
  • Laser Cigar

Weapons:

  • Heavy Machine Gun
  • Gatling Laser
  • The Tenderizer
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Medic

"operation complete! ... now where did I leave my watch?"

Primary Class:  Healer

Healers are a support class with a primary role of keeping their allies alive as long as possible. 

Out of the two healing classes, the Medic focuses more on healing, and her Tier 3 special ability is a multi-purpose Teleport and Heal ability.

Abilities:

  • Psi Blood
  • Heal
  • Healing Burst
  • Tele-Heal

Weapons:

  • Blue Phaser
  • Green Phaser
  • Red Phaser
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Egon

"back off man, I'm a scientist!"

Primary Class:  Healer

Healers are a support class with a primary role of keeping their allies alive as long as possible.

Unlike the Medic, Egon focuses a little less on healing and a little more on offense.  His Tier 3 special ability is a powerful AE Gravity Burst that pushes enemies away and damages them.

  • Gravity Burst

Weapons:

  • Psi Lance
  • Green Phaser
  • Red Phaser
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Swann

"I've got your nut cracker right here!"

Primary Class:  Engineer

Engineers play a support role, armed with deployables and the ability to repair structures.

Swann's Tier 3 special ability allows him to summon two predators to fight along his side, they are quite powerful and can tear small groups of enemies to shreds.

Abilities:

  • Mechanical Repair
  • Flame Turret
  • Defensive Wall
  • Claw Grab
  • Swanns Predator

Weapons:

  • Rocket Launcher
  • Power Claw
  • Grease Gun
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Hammer

"what the hell are smithereens anyway?"

Primary Class:  Marauder

Marauders are heavily armored and can take more of a beating than most other classes.  They specialize in rockets, and can lay mines to catch their enemies by surprise.

Hammer's Tier 3 special ability launches targetted chaser missiles to home in on his target.  They do high damage, and can only be avoided by the most agile of players.

  • Concussive Shells
  • Rocket Barrage
  • Spider Mines
  • Chaser Missile

Weapons:

  • Rocket Launcher
  • T82 Missile Pods
  • Shock Cannons
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Ex Dominion Elite

"got a whole lotta love"

Primary Class:  Marauder

Marauders are heavily armored and can take more of a beating than most other classes. They specialize in rockets, and can lay mines to catch their enemies by surprise.

Ex Dominion's Tier 3 special ability is an Aerial Missile Platform that has offensive and defensive capabilities.  The anti-missile laser will shoot down incoming missiles, while the platform fires missiles of it's own.

  • Concussive Shells
  • Rocket Barrage
  • Spider Mines
  • Aerial Missile Platform

Weapons:

  • Rocket Launcher
  • T82 Missile Pods
  • Shock Cannons
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Devil Dog

"how do you want your Zerg?  original or extra crispy.."

Primary Class:  Firebat

Firebats are the toughest class, which is a good thing because of the short range of their weapons.  Specializing in all things burning, they are a great ally to have.

Devil Dog's Tier 3 special ability is a powerful flame aura that damages nearby enemies, and provides extra protection to the hero.

Grim

"to Tarsonis, and beyond!"

Primary Class:  Reaper

Reapers are a highly mobile class that can jetpack up cliffs and set traps for their enemies. Using the Grims Reapers ability, they also specialize in taking down structures.

Grim's Tier 3 special ability is a very powerful (and very fun) grenade dash, that leaves a trail of grenades behind the reaper, ready to explode on the enemy.

Weapons:

  • Dual Gauss Pistols
  • Dual Maching Pistols
  • Delayed Blast Grenade
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin


Nova

"I can shoot the wings off a fly, imagine what I can do to you"

Primary Class:  Sniper/Stealth

Stealth classes are a great asset for your team, and ideal for getting behind enemy lines and hacking bases.  With their remote hacking ability they can also hack targets that normal hacking can't (like Titans).

Nova's Tier 3 special ability is a powerful snipe that does higher damage the closer you are to your enemy.

Tosh

"I aint afraid of no ghost"

Primary Class:  Sniper/Stealth

Stealth classes are a great asset for your team, and ideal for getting behind enemy lines and hacking bases. With their remote hacking ability they can also hack targets that normal hacking can't (like Titans). 

Tosh's Tier 3 special ability is an AE attack that damages enemy units and blocks their abilities.  Tosh also gains energy from this.

  • Remote Hacking
  • Evade
  • Personal Cloaking
  • Psionic Blast
  • Nightmare Feed

Weapons:

  • Short Range Sniper
  • Long Range Sniper
  • Nano Rifle
  • Shoulder Mounted Javelin
